Like an old friend visiting, a gentle breeze whispers in our ears, carrying with it the gossip of oncoming summer. Playfully it dances around you, singing about what is to become. Soon we find, what is hot gets hotter and what is green grows lean. The heat propels this ever changing feat, from the precious water down to the bird on the street. Long days and warm nights, a precursor to all the firefly fights. Now all members of the Summer entourage will arrive, in hopes of keeping the season alive. And if you should think I'm not right, then perhaps that old friend will visit you tonight!
